It’s a pleasure to watch them discover that actions have consequences as the plot unfolds. Waiting for exam results which will secure them places at favoured universities six friends while away the long summer nights beside the pool of talitha’s indulgent parents. Sharon bolton is an author whose books i have enjoyed for many years.
(i won’t go into detail here as the careers they choose add to the overall plot, and i try to avoid spoilery reviews where possible). But, still, this was a highly exciting read. Well, i guess you get the picture!
So that tells you something. The pact by sharon bolton was utterly gripping. She is not called the queen of gothic for nothing!

Back with another chilling psychological thriller, the pact had me reading into the early hours of the morning, gripped by this enticingly twisted tale of revenge. In the pact, each of the characters has their highs and lows, but they never fail to feel realistic.
I really enjoyed this thrilling read, and am excited to read more from sharon bolton! I raced through it in a day and, although there are twists and surprises along the way, it didn’t feel over the top of ridiculous. I love the way her twisty brain works and in the pact she has given us a terrific chilling and twisty novel that keeps you guessing. When i read the synopsis for her latest book, the pact, i knew i would be.
